This Privacy Policy explains how CarColor ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use carcolor.me and related services (the "Service").

1. Who we are

CarColor provides an online tool that turns car descriptions into printable black-and-white coloring pages. For privacy questions, contact support@carcolor.me.

2. Information we collect

Account information

  • Email address and password (if you sign up with email).
  • Name and email from Google when you use Sign in with Google (we receive what Google shares for OAuth sign-in).
  • Email verification status and authentication provider.

Usage and content

  • Prompts and options you submit (car model, plate text, features, orientation, driving position, edit instructions).
  • Generated and edited images, and history of those images linked to your account.
  • Credit and purchase activity (free generates/edits used, image and edit credits remaining).

Technical data

  • Session cookies and short-lived OAuth state cookies needed to keep you signed in and complete Google sign-in securely.
  • Basic request logs and error information needed to operate and secure the Service.

Payments

Image and edit-credit purchases are processed by Paddle. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and enough detail to add credits to your account. Card numbers and full payment credentials are handled by Paddle, not stored by CarColor. See Paddle's privacy policy for how they process payment data.

3. How we use information

  • Create and manage your account, and verify your email.
  • Generate, edit, store, and show your coloring pages.
  • Track free usage and paid image and edit credits.
  • Process purchases and fulfill credits after payment.
  • Send transactional email (for example, verification links).
  • Secure the Service, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Image generation

To create coloring pages we send your prompts and related inputs to our image-generation provider (OpenAI). Generated images may be stored so you can download, print, edit, and browse history. Do not include personal data in prompts that you do not want processed for generation.

5. Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • Infrastructure providers, hosting, database, file storage, and email delivery.
  • OpenAI, to generate and edit images from your prompts.
  • Paddle, to process payments and fulfill purchases.
  • Google, when you choose Google sign-in.
  • Legal / safety, if required by law, or to protect rights, users, or the Service.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and OAuth security. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

7. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active. Images and history stay until you delete them or your account is deleted, unless we must retain records longer for legal, security, or accounting reasons. Session cookies expire after a limited period (currently about 30 days of inactivity for the session cookie).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email support@carcolor.me from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

If you signed in with Google, you can also manage Google permissions in your Google account settings.

9. Children

CarColor is intended for adults who create coloring pages (including for children to color offline). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the higher age required in your region) as account holders. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

We and our processors may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
